New guidelines and strategies are necessary to enhance overall system
reliability and production in the “Jofeyr Oil Field.” Due to our client
desire to achieve higher oil flow from well JFR-005.
Several challenges should have been addressed to achieve successful
SRP operation in the Jofeyr Oil Field wells. Following several years of
production, the well flow rate decreased to only 320 barrels of oil per
day. Our engineering team has attempted to recommend the best
solution to increase production.
SOLUTIONS
After the successful implementation of a Sucker Rod Pump system in the
“Jofeyr Oil Field,” the PETRO EDMAN engineering team recommended
the installation of a second Ultra-Long Stroke Sucker Rod Pumping
system. This system, featuring a stroke length of 366 inches and a lifting
capacity of 50,000 lb, is proposed for the JFR-005 well. The goal is to
maximize the equipment’s lifespan while achieving the desired flow
rate.
RESULTS
After the downhole pump installation (March 2025) and successful
testing of the downhole pump, the downhole performance has been
approved and after the surface pumping unit installation, the
production will raise from 320 barrels of crude oil per day (before pump
installation) to a stunning continuous rate of 1300 barrels of oil per day
CHALLE NGES
• Up to 1300bbl/day flow rate

within 5 days, only after 1 months
from previous installation)
• Harsh environment
BENEFITS
• Cost-effective
• No harm to the reservoir
• Less maintenance and more
lifetime compared to other
artificial lift methods
• Smart monitoring with EDControl
and Dynamometer card plot
